What's free on MB Resume Builder
Building, downloading and checking your resume is free, with no account and no watermark. So are the cover letter and resignation letter tools. What costs money is downloading the HR documents that employers issue, such as offer letters and salary certificates.
This page lists every tool and which side of that line it is on, with the prices of the paid options, so you know before you start.
Free for everyone, no account needed
- Resume builder: all 50 templates, downloads as PDF or Word, no watermark.
- Resume import: start from your existing PDF, DOC or DOCX resume. A PDF is sent to our server only to read its text and isn't kept; a Word file is read in your browser.
- ATS check and ATS simulator: see how applicant tracking software is likely to read your resume.
- Job Description Matcher and AI tailoring: compare your resume with a job posting, then review suggested edits before anything changes.
- AI writing suggestions: rewrites of a bullet, a summary or part of a cover letter, with a limit on how many you can ask for per minute.
- Cover letter builder: a letter that matches your resume, as PDF or Word.
- Resignation letter generator: as PDF, Word, or text to paste into an email.
- Career Vault: keep several versions of your resume, stored in your browser.
- PDF editor: annotate a PDF with text, highlights, drawing and signatures. The file stays on your device.

Free with an account
An account is free, and it is never needed to build, download or check a resume. You need one for a link to your resume that you can send to someone, and to buy anything below.
What's paid
Only downloading HR documents. There are two ways to pay for it:
- A Tool Pass, ₹49 once: downloads from one HR document tool for 24 hours. It ends on its own and never renews.
- Premium, ₹399 per month or ₹3,999 per year: downloads from all 32 HR document tools, and the HR workspace for company records, bulk generation, approvals and verification.
Premium renews automatically until you cancel it or it reaches the end date the checkout shows before you pay. Use “Cancel subscription” on your account page at any time: you keep Premium until the end of the period you have paid for and are not charged again. The refund policy has the full terms, and pricing compares the options.
What free means here
- There are no free trials, so nothing turns into a paid subscription without you choosing to pay.
- Downloading a resume, a cover letter or a resignation letter never asks for payment.
- Resume downloads never carry a watermark.
- Your resume drafts are kept in your browser, not on our servers.
- AI features send the text involved to our AI provider only when you use them.
How the free tools are paid for
By the paid HR document downloads above, and by ads on our blog articles. Ads appear only on articles, never in the tools, only if you choose “Accept all” in the cookie banner, and never to Premium subscribers.
About the scores
The ATS score and the job match are free and are calculated the same way for everyone. They describe how readable your resume is for applicant tracking software and how much of a job posting’s wording it covers. They can’t promise an interview. Our methodology page explains exactly how each one is worked out.
